So if you are looking for a used V330 and need to scan slides or negatives be sure to ask if it has the holder. Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software and follow the on-screen instructions. Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager. Select printer from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting. replacement holders run around $20 on eBay. Click on View All option on top left pane. I would have sent it back however I have my original holder from my first scanner so I can make it work. when it arrived I tested the scanning and it work well, bu t there was no holder under the scanning lid where it is kept in a convenient place designed by the manufacture. I have another computer in a different area of the house so I purchased another used V330 from eBay, listed as Excellent condition, I assumed that meant it came with all the original parts so that it could scan 35mm slides or negatives. Without the holder the scanner does not work at all scanning slides or negatives. The trick is having the Film holder that holds the slide or negative at just the right distance off the glass. It makes good scans for a reasonable price. The Epson V330 photo is a good scanner I have had one for over 5 years. Good little scanner, IF you get all the parts that make it fully functional
